What is appreciative inquiry?
Appreciative Inquiry is a methodology used to bring about positive change in businesses or organizations. It is not based on problems and their solutions. It is based on the capabilities of employees and how their capabilities can increase productivity in the organization.Let’s explore each option, and in the end, you'll see why “the positive model” is the right answer.
a. Lewin’s change model
This model focuses on changing the fixing model rather than glorifying what is working well for the organisation. Although it’s one of the oldest and famous models. It has three steps :- Unfreeze
- Change
- Refreeze
b. Action research model
The action research model is more scientific as it involves :- Diagnosing problems
- Planning actions
- Implementing those actions
- Evaluating results
c.The positive model
The positive model is the fundamental foundation of appreciative inquiry. Its main objective is to identify what works best for the company and to apply it more precisely and effectively.It includes:
- Looking at the positives that happened in the organisation
- Asking employees what they liked the most in the organisation and what makes them proud.
- Used those amazing stories to build a better future.
It has five steps:
